Description
BSL Club for St Andrew's - will officially launch its sign language club for youngsters and adults who are interested in learning deaf sign language. What is unique is that the club is being run by two of our S5 pupils who took up sign language two years ago here at St Andrew's, with the tuition of Angela Hodos from St Vincent's. Angela was so pleased with the progress of both Stephanie McQuillan and Laura McNeil, that they are now attending St Vincent's in the evening to get qualifications in BSL.
Stephanie and Laura feel so strongly that more people should be able to sign that they asked to be allowed to try and engage more people here in school, hence the reason for the launch of the BSL Club. Highly commendable for two young ladies also busy studying for their highers

Description
Speed networking events allow young people the opportunity to visit a number of organisations and find out about a range of employability projects in a short space of time. All the organisations who attend will have prepared a 6 – 8 minute talk about what they can offer young people after leaving school.
How will it work?
Over the 90 minutes young people will be able to visit about 8-9 stalls in 10-12 minute slots.

All five Local Regeneration Agencies across Glasgow will spend a morning in each secondary school. They will deliver an ‘employability’ programme with the aim of helping young people to prepare for speed networking events and future Job Fairs.
