Determined to Succeed Glasgow



	The Glasgow DtS Action Plan is an ambitious initiative that breaks new ground, supporting and enabling all schools and teachers in Glasgow to deliver Employability and Enterprise in Education. Education for employability is viewing the curriculum from another dimension. It will enable cross-curricular working, break down subject barriers, and change the way we teach and the way young people learn. What is crucial therefore, is that all young people are exposed to their entitlement to a curriculum that lays the foundations for preparation for the world at work. There are 29 Employability and Enterprise Officers in place within each New Learning Community helping to drive the Glasgow DtS Strategy forward. The EEO’s will take on the expansion of enterprise in the curriculum outlined in Determined to Succeed with particular emphasis in Glasgow on the improvement of School Leaver Destination Statistics; work based vocational learning and appropriately focused career education. Determined to Succeed will instil the necessary culture of enterprise in our young people to make the transition from education to the workplace with the right tools to make the best decisions and choices for life.
