Enterprise week. Whitehill Secondary at Rangers Study Support Centre (16/11/2006)
As part of National Enterprise Week, 16 S2 girls took part in an
enterprise workshop (Girls into Business) at the Ibrox Ready to Learn
Centre on Tuesday 14/11. Rita and Dominic from the Centre had already met with the pupils to discuss the task and give details of the budget etc. For two weeks prior to the workshop, the girls worked in groups at lunchtime to plan the sport's related product and the marketing strategyand the finance.
The workshop was a great success with 5 groups coming up with
presentations involving powerpoint, product design and specification and even advertising jingles!
The girls were interviewed by Rangers TV and met Ian Murray, the Rangers Defender.
The S2 Enterprise group now intend to contact Scottish Enterprise and
other outside agencies to plan the next stage of their entrepise project
- writing a business plan!
