Knightwood Secondary World Challenge Exhibition (31/01/2007)
A group of 12 Knightswood Secondary S4 pupils are attempting to raise £4,600 to take part in a World Challenge Expedition.
The Trip;
A 5-day river journey on the Great Glen with World Challenge Expeditions. On the expedition they will be canoeing and camping in tents from Fort William to Inverness. Each pupil will be given the opportunity to be ‘team leader’ in rotation which will help their communication, leadership and, teamwork skills.
Already they have raised nearly £2,200 by planning and organising several successful events. In June they held a raffle for staff in the school as well as organising a football tournament for pupils. They have more recently organised a disco & tuck-shop as well as a fund raising hillwalk to Ben Ann. As well as an X-factor style contest and Xmas school show. They are already planning another disco & tuck-shop, and a sponsored swim.
